The Digital Door Lock Of The Year

This, is an RFID door lock and the main thing about it, is that you don't have to carry "keys" of any kind anymore. Of course, you can use this with the RFID card or keyfob but, it's basically an RFID chip so you can use it with your wallet, cellphone, laptop, or anything. Or if you are the experimental type, you might get yourself a hand implant.

Just change the code when your card/keyfob/hand is stolen by some fearsome criminals. No more are you a slave to that self-important locksmith, you are FREE!

Well, that's about the key. Now, about the door unit: It's a fortress. As there are no holes, the lock can not be "picked" by anyone. If you want, the door disables all outside functions so even a real RFID chip comes around, it won't budge. [Might be a nice way to keep your husband out for coming so late :)] It has a built-in alarm that will go off if the door is forecfully opened. There's an imaginary PIN and an extenral forced lock feature which keeps the mail slot and the window shut.

It comes with 8 keys: 4 cards, 2 fobs, 2 tags. So you have more than enough and can experiment on some of them ;) You can let it lock itself automagically or you can lock it yourself. And the whole thing works on 4 AA batteries.

The inside component is 6" x 3.9" x 1.5" while the outside component, which must be kept out of rain and snow, is 5.75" x 2.7" x 1".

The price tag on this lock is a little bit spicy, around $300 but if you are the oldschool sci-fi guy who can go to radical points for the ability to open locks by waving his hand (Namely, The Force)... Well.. I don't think I have to finish the centence :)

Go grab yourself one of these while they're hot!
